What I handle

From visual brief
to a workable day.

01 / Scout

Location scouting

I turn a creative brief into grounded location options, then check the practical details that make or break them: vehicle and crew access, parking, basecamp, unit moves, equipment carry, wind, daylight, nearby services and a credible weather alternative.

  • Location options and visual references
  • Maps, access notes and route timing
  • Season, light and weather reality
  • Primary choice plus Plan B

02 / Fix

Production fixing

Local suppliers, transport, accommodation, landowner and permit coordination, schedules and crew movements are brought into one field plan. You get one person who sees how each decision affects the rest of the shoot.

  • Local research and coordination
  • Transport and accommodation
  • Supplier and access liaison
  • On-the-ground shoot support

03 / Field

Remote field logistics

Specialist briefs need more than a pin on a map. Glacier, mountain, winter-road, coastal, marine and cold-water work is supported by years of guiding, driving, rescue-minded planning and dive experience in demanding environments.

  • Glacier and mountain environments
  • 4×4 and winter-road planning
  • Coastal, marine and cold-water briefs
  • Equipment and crew movement

Production feasibility

A beautiful location is not enough.

Before the crew commits, I look at the whole operating picture—so the creative choice can survive the Icelandic day around it.

Access

Can the unit actually get there?

Road class, vehicle choice, parking, turnaround space, walking distance and equipment carry.

Conditions

When does the location work?

Daylight, sun direction, wind exposure, tides, seasonal limits, road status and forecast windows.

Support

What must be close—or brought in?

Basecamp, toilets, power, catering, fuel, accommodation, local suppliers and emergency options.

Contingency

What happens when Iceland changes the plan?

A second location, revised timings and realistic decisions made before the weather makes them for us.

Iceland production and location support across scouting, access, transport, accommodation, equipment movement and local coordination—connecting the creative brief with what could work on the ground.

The person on the ground

Field experience,
not just local contacts.

I’m Paweł Maczuch—an Iceland-based production coordinator, location scout/fixer and field logistics specialist.

My background runs through glacier guiding, 4×4 and coach driving, scuba instruction, first aid and years of operating in Iceland’s changing conditions. That means I can speak with a producer about the schedule, with a driver about the road and with a crew about what the location demands.

Working process

One brief.
Four practical steps.

  1. 01

    Share the brief

Format, visual references, dates, crew size, equipment, priorities and known constraints.

  2. 02

    Scout and test

Location options are checked against access, timing, conditions, services and alternatives.

  3. 03

    Build the field plan

Transport, accommodation, suppliers, permissions, unit moves and contingency come together.

  4. 04

    Support the shoot

Clear local coordination on the ground, with fast adjustments when conditions change.

Start with the essentials

Send the production brief.

Share the project type, dates, crew size, visual direction and where you need local support. I’ll reply personally with the most useful next step.
